1. Writings a reletivly new things to me, poetry's even newer. I could never, being the lazy grade schooler I was, sit down and write something. Then in the 6th grade I started writing novels, though I could never finish one. Then in the 7th grade, I started writing short stories, which were better, since I could actually finish one. Then at the second half of seventh grade I found this site for poetry and stuff, so I decided to take a shot at it and everyone was saying I was really good at it, so I kept it up and here I am now.
2. My parents never read my poetry, since I have a paranoia that they'll send me to a shrink if they do.
3. Right now the only thing that I written thats ever been published is 'sleep soundly, dream plesantly', mostly because that was the only one that I could find that would fit their requirements.
4. I write when things come to me, otherwise I hate the finished product and tear it up, this is slightly a problem especially when I have to remember where I was going with the poem.
5. Some poetry that I think about never makes it to the page. This is mostly because my mother is always yelling at me to do something, and when I talk to her to get her to stop yelling, I lose my train of thought and then it basically ends where it is, and then it feels incomplete and it gets put in a draw to never be looked at again.
6. 90% of the time I'm writing, I have music playing, mostly to drown most everything out, but no matter how loud it gets I can still hear my mom over the music.
7. I get called emo alot because I write poetry in general. People ask me if I like writing poetry and I say, 'yeah', then theirs those people calling me an emo faggot for the rest of the day. fun, fun.
8. My poetry's about few varying subjects. Those subjects are: Love, loss, death, how corrupt the world is, how corrupt people are, regret and more recently drugs. I had a close friend and my insperation, say I should write about fluffy clouds and pink bunnies, just for the sole purpose of showing my mom, so she'd have a chance to read my poetry without send me to a shrink. l
9. I draw my influences of how I write from Poe (of course), Dante, Shakespear (another duh), and John Milton.
10. I tend to zone out sometimes cuz I have an idea for a poem going through my head and I dont want to forget it before I can get to a peice of paper and a pen. I'm also easily distracted, which is a bad combination for a writer, which is why I like to write and 2 am so their's minimal distractions or when my moms not home since then I have silence around the house.
